Satin Jackets and Panama have teamed up for their fifth collaboration, and it feels like coming home. If “Move On” and “The Future” have already proven that these two artists know how to create gold together, then “Alive” definitely completes this trilogy. On this latest sonic adventure, Tim Bernhardt once again brings out the best in the Australian artist, who seamlessly weaves his lush vocals into every track that Satin Jackets produces.

While “Move On” felt like a dramatic goodbye to the past and “The Future” like a hopeful return, “Alive” is a celebration of the present. It’s a glorious, upbeat track that will have you yearning for good times and a packed dance floor. It’s more uptempo than Satin Jackets’ recent singles, while proving that Tim’s musical style is not limited to one genre, as he effortlessly creates a French House feeling complete with compressed arpeggios and sharp handclaps.

Panama’s vocals on “I’m alive, oh now I’m alive” perfectly capture the atmosphere of this gem. As always, it’s the groove where Satin Jackets shines, with a melodic bassline and classic four-to-the-floor beat. Although this euphoric floorfiller stays under four minutes, it’s a shame because “Alive” could go on forever.
